Terms & Conditions

Spice in the Box Limited of 9 Stoughton Close, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4DT, United Kingdom (company registration no. 6122485) is referred to below as "Spice in the Box". When you place an order with Spice in the Box you agree to accept the following terms and conditions:

  1. Spice in the Box reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect when posted on the website and it is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions on each occasion you use this website and your continued use of the website shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest terms and conditions.

  2. If you are not a consumer, you confirm that you have authority to bind any business on whose behalf you use this website.

  3. When you place an order via the website we will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. Please note that this email is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from Spice in the Box.

  4. Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and Spice in the Box will take place on despatch to you of the products ordered unless Spice in the Box notifies you that your order has not been accepted or you have cancelled it.

  5. Every effort is taken to ensure that the information contained in this website is correct and up-to-date. However, Spice in the Box disclaim all warranties and representations as to the accuracy of any information contained if at any time it becomes inadvertently out-of-date or incomplete. Spice in the Box cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may arise from the use of this information.

  6. While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

  7. Spice in the Box is not responsible for this site's accuracy or the reliability of the access to this site. Neither will we assume responsibility for the content of any other website to which this site links to. These links are provided for your convenience only.

  8. Spice in the Box aim to deliver goods of the highest quality. Every effort is made to display only items that are in stock or which can be dispatched to you quickly and direct from the manufacturer. From time to time we may be unable to meet our usual delivery times due to certain items being unavailable, in which case we will advise you immediately. If this does occur, you will be given the opportunity to order an alternative, to have the products sent as soon as they become available, or to cancel the order.

  9. Any claim that goods have been delivered damaged, are not of the correct quantity or do not comply with their description must, unless notified to the carrier at the time of delivery, be notified by the Customer to the Company in writing within 3 days of their delivery. Contact us.

  10. We will be under no liability for any defect in the Goods (including, but not limited to, infestation or mould) arising from incorrect storage by the Customer. Goods supplied as dried herbs will remain active for long periods when stored under optimum conditions. They should be kept in air-tight, opaque containers in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight.

  11. Every effort is made to ensure that the Goods supplied are of high quality and in good condition. If we are fully satisfied that the products have been stored under optimum conditions and the Customer is not fully satisfied with their quality, we will, at our own discretion, refund the cost or exchange the goods up to three months from the date of delivery. The Company must be afforded a reasonable opportunity and facilities to investigate any claims made under this condition.

  12. Please note that some herbs are subject to seasonal shortages. While every effort is made to keep our complete range of products in stock, we do not accept any responsibility for loss resulting from any out of stock items.

  13. Our products are used for a wide variety of purposes. It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that the products are appropriately used. All representations, warranties, conditions or terms relating to the fitness for purpose are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by the Law and the Company accepts no liability.

  14. Spice in the Box reserves the right to inspect all damaged goods. Written authorisation for product return is required.

  15. You may return an ordered and correctly supplied item(s) to us subject to the following conditions:

    • Goods must be returned in their original packaging within 7 days.

    • Goods returned must be in a saleable condition.

    • Goods must be intact, unopened, undamaged with tamper seals intact where appropriate.

    • Subject to the above conditions we will provide refund less any credit / debit card expenses and original postage expenses. It will be the customer's responsibility to arrange return posting. No liability will be accepted by Spice in the Box for returned goods that are either lost in transit or damaged in transit. Proof of posting is advisable.

    • Please telephone, fax or e-mail us first and we will let you know how you should send the item to us.

  16. The Company shall not be responsible for any loss to the Customer resulting from delivery being affected by war, strikes, fire, changes in government policy, act of God or any other circumstances beyond its control.

  17. In no event will the Company be under any liability whatsoever to the Customer for any loss of profit, business, contracts, revenues or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss and/or expense (whatever the cause, including negligence) suffered by the Customer.

  18. We may change or withdraw any part of our website, or may refuse you access to the website at any time if we consider it necessary.

  19. All prices quoted are in British pounds sterling (£). If the price changes between you placing and receiving your order, we will honour the original price. Orders are accepted at the sole discretion of Spice in the Box and are subject to your credit or debit card being authorised for the transaction. All transactions are conducted through a secure web server.

  20. These conditions are governed and construed by English law. English courts will resolve any disputes. The terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.
